Accounts Senior
We are looking to recruit an Accounts Senior with experience in general practice working on all aspects of a client’s accounting and taxation requirements.
You will get to work with a broad range of clients, ranging from small businesses, startups to substantial groups.
The role would include the following:
Preparation of accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
Dealing with day-to-day client queries in an efficient and timely manner
Highlighting any issues for the attention of senior management
Obtaining an understanding of related services such as payroll, corporate and tax and identifying opportunities to introduce within the business
Skills required:
ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience of managing workflows in a practice environment who can work well under pressure to meet deadlines
Demonstrate a high level of commercial awareness
You will have ongoing support from our senior management team who will help you to achieve your long-term career goals and training provided to fulfil qualification and CPD requirements.

This is a full-time position, with plenty of opportunity for the successful applicant to work in one of our offices or remotely.

Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant
We are looking for a Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant to join our outsource team.
The role would include the following:
Bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients on a monthly/quarterly basis
Processing invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software
Completion and submission of VAT returns
Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure
Assisting with other accounting tasks as required
Dealing with incoming telephone calls and emails
Preferably we are looking for someone with previous bookkeeping experience using Xero and Sage, however, training can be provided for the right candidate.
Skills required:
Good attention to detail
Strong administrative and communication skills
Ability to work independently, who can manage their own time, working to tight deadlines
A friendly, professional manner with a proactive attitude
Full or part time hours considered with the potential for remote working.

Tax Trainee
We are looking for a tax trainee to join our friendly tax department.
The role would include the following:
Looking after a personal tax client portfolio of around 300 clients. This would involve preparing personal tax returns and assisting with client queries and advice, with input from the other seniors, manager and partner at busy times
Contacting HMRC to change tax codes, chase refunds and other ad hoc queries
Attending client meetings/phone calls to go through personal tax returns and helping with any queries that may arise.
Preparing and submitting Capital Gains Tax returns
Registering Trusts on the Trust Registration Service
Eventually moving on to helping with Corporation Tax
We will offer study support for the ATT qualification with the possibility of moving onto the CTA qualification once ATT qualified.
Ideally, this is a full-time position (37.5 hour week) based in our Malvern office, with the potential of hybrid working and flexible hours.
